Membership Information
Interested in becoming a member of Daily Driven Dubz? If so, we're interested in hearing from you. D3 is looking for dedicated enthusiasts who share our passion for not only the cars, but the community and their D3 fellows.
If you are accepted as a member, you will receive a family plate and window banner for your vehicle, and a D3 shirt. You will also be allowed access to the D3 Member specific forums and your local family's forum on the D3 site. There is a small fee for the plate, sticker, and shirt. There may also be membership dues, depending on which family you are petitioning. Check with your local family for details (via the forum).
While any Volkswagen driver is welcome to submit a petition to an existing family, we will be looking for the following conditions to be met before we consider you:
You must be an *active* member of the D3 forums. You must be active in your local community and attend some of your local family's functions.
Petitioning is a straightforward process. You may send a private message to any member of your family requesting membership. Please include photographs of your car(s), and a little biographical information about your car's history. Your petition will be then posted to the local family's private forum for a vote. Once the voting process is complete, you will be contacted by the family with a status. If you don't immediately get a response back DON'T PANIC! We like to induct new members at regular meetings or special events, so there is a chance you won't get an answer until you show up to an event and get plated.
In the event we decide to decline your petition, you will be contacted with an explanation of why you were declined. You are welcome to re-petition at a later date if you feel like doing so.
If there's not a family in your area, you may petition to start a new family. You need a minimum of 5 members to start a local family, all of which must be active forum members, (so get them to sign up first!) and all of whom must be approved individually as members. If you can not find 5 members, let us know. There may be additional options we can work through with you to get a family established in your area. To file a new family petition, please contact a D3 board member. They will serve as your liaison during the petition process. A unique plate will be designated for your family (IE Tucson chapter's plates read TU AZ, Phoenix family's are PX AZ, etc). Window stickers will also be unique to each family.
"Honorary" D3 memberships are also available. These are individuals who are active partners with the club but may not feel like they should be full members, or perhaps are unable to participate as a full member because of life circumstances. Honorary memberships are internally nominated, you can not submit a petition or an honorary membership.
