Thanks for the compliments! It's just a black perforated vinyl headliner. I'm usually not a fan of black either, but in this car it just looks right.
The normal headliner job runs about $400, but that includes the headliner, new insulation in the roof, new window rubber, rear package tray carpet, visors, visor clips, etc. Everything to make it look brand new. |

Forgot to mention, that price is for a complete car- meaning I strip everything down (remove seats, rear door panels, rear carpet, glass, headliner, etc), install the headliner, and put everything back. If you strip the car, and reassemble it yourself, you can save a LOT of dough! I'm just used to doing the complete job for people who don't know anything about cars, so I forgot to mention that. BUT!!!! WHEN YOU TAKE THE HEADLINER OUT, MARK THE BOWS #1, #2, #3, AND SO ON, STARTING FROM THE FRONT. IF IT'S A LATE MODEL, MARK THE POSITION OF THE BOWS ON THE ROOF! This makes my job a lot easier, thanks!! |

| How about black vinyl with black cloth on the seating surface (vinyl sucks when it's been sitting in the sun) and I'll do the salmon welt cord to break it up. Front and back seats with new foam (or horse hair) and custom stitched covers would run maybe $450 or so. Could be slightly more or much less, it's hard to tell without seeing the car. |

All right then I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm not sure yet if I'll be taking my car, but if you see me just throw a rock in my general direction or something |

Looks like I'll be rolling down with my buddy in his single cab. If you want to check out my interior work, look at this truck!
And I'll be pit bitch for this guy part of the day...
So if you see me say hi! |

Here's a traditional Cal Look '67 sunroof I've been building from the ground up for a good friend of mine. TMI one piece perforated vinyl headliner in light grey. Sewn just like factory on the B pillars. Pop outs painted black. Also dyed the visors and all of the sunroof plastics light grey to match. Polished sunroof rails. Finishing up the sunroof slider today...

I am too poor and too far away to utilize you help but I may be picking your brain a little later on. Is it harder to do a headliner in a ragtop? |

the rag that i have have wont accept a headliner... all those tabs were shaved...
dont the ragtops just tuck? no bows are used??? thats what i would do... cut one piece glue it to the roof and use trim pieces around the hole... |
